Safety Policy
Last updated September 2026
Safety is built into GoSaathi. This policy explains the protections in place and what we expect from every member.
Verification
Every companion completes identity verification (government ID + selfie match) before their profile goes live and can be re-verified at any time. Customers verify a phone number before their first booking.
Before a trip
- Agree a specific, public meeting point in the booking.
- Read the companion's reviews and completed-trip count.
- Add a trusted contact and share the trip link with them.
- Keep all communication in GoSaathi chat.
During a trip
- Use "Check in" when you meet.
- Optionally share live location with your trusted contact — it auto-expires.
- Use the in-app SOS button to alert the GoSaathi safety team and, if you choose, your trusted contact.
- Leave any situation that feels wrong. Your safety comes before any booking.
Emergencies
In an emergency, call local services first — 112 in India (100 police, 108 ambulance, 1091 women's helpline). Then report the incident in the app so we can act on the account.
Reporting and response
Reports are reviewed by the trust & safety team. We may suspend an account immediately pending review. Confirmed safety violations lead to permanent bans, and criminal conduct is referred to the police. You will never be penalised for reporting a genuine safety concern.
Prohibited during trips
Sexual services, solicitation, drugs, alcohol-impaired driving, unsafe locations, and pressure to leave a public place are all prohibited and reportable.
