Privacy Policy

• Account: name, email, and (for booking) a verified phone number.
• Profile: city, languages, photo — shown to other users you transact with.
• Companions: age, gender, bio, pricing, availability, photos, and identity documents (Aadhaar / passport / PAN / driving licence / selfie) for verification.
• Bookings & messages: trip details, meeting location, and in-app chat, retained for safety and dispute resolution.
• Payments: membership plan, amount and payment-provider transaction ids (we never store card details).
• Safety: reports you file, trusted contacts, and trip shares you create.

To run the marketplace: verify companions, enable booking and chat, process membership payments, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to safety reports, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

Public profile fields (name, city, photo, rating) are visible to signed-in users. Contact details, messages and booking specifics are visible only to the two parties of a booking and to GoSaathi's trust & safety team. Identity documents are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket and are seen only by verification staff.

Account data is kept while your account is active. Booking, message and safety records are kept for up to 3 years after a trip for dispute and safety purposes. Verification documents are kept only as long as needed to maintain verified status and are then deleted.

You can access, correct or export your data, withdraw consent, or request deletion of your account by writing to privacy@gosaathi.app. We respond within 30 days. Some records may be retained where the law requires.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is role-based and enforced at the database layer (row-level security). Report a suspected incident to security@gosaathi.app.
